3. The Valley of the Kings

Valley of the Kings is located on the western side of the Nile River at the heart of a hill hidden between the mountains and has been used for a long period of time, as the final resting place for many Pharaohs for more than 500 years during the new kingdom. It contains about 63 cut-rock decorated tombs and chambers and this valley contains a lot of tombs that belong to the kings and queens of that era such as Ramses (I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, IX, X), Amenhotep I, Hatshepsut, Seti I and the famous boy-king Tutankhamun, and these graves are decorated with great engravings and images.
