The Saint Catherine Church "The Church of the Transfiguration" or "Sacred Autonomous Royal Monastery of Saint Katherine of the Holy and God-Trodden Mount Sinai" is a Greek Orthodox church that came to be around 565 AD and is situated within the walls of the Saint Catherine Monastery. It is one of the oldest Christian churches in the world, dating back to the 6th century. The church is dedicated to the Transfiguration of Jesus and features intricate Byzantine architecture, beautiful icons, and religious relics. The miraculous Salah El-Din Citadel is a medieval Islamic fortress situated on the highest hill in the golden capital of Cairo. It was built by Salah El-Din (Saladin) between 1176–1183 to become a defensive structure against the Crusaders. The citadel played a significant role in Egyptian history and served as the seat of power for various dynasties and ever the modern government in the 19th century.
