The eternal and majestic architectural wonder found on the bank of the Nile Kom Ombo Temple was created in the reign of Ptolemy VI Philometor in 180 BC and was finished in 47 BC to honor Haroeris “Horus the Elder” and Sobek the crocodile god of the Nile on the north and southern part of Egypt. The double temple has two of everything of halls, courts, sanctuaries, and rooms which are able to ideally symmetrical along the main axis.

Edfu temple
